Licensing
How many installations come standard with MediaShout for Mac?
MediaShout for Mac includes a license for 3 installations. These installations can be used for presentation or editing. Installation requires Internet activation.
Does this affect my current MediaShout for Windows licensing?
No. MediaShout for Mac is a completely separate product and has no direct impact on current MediaShout for Windows licenses. If you currently own MediaShout Version 4 and MediaShout for Mac, your license covers 3 Windows installations and 3 Mac installations. Unused licenses cannot be applied to another product.
What about the additional licensing Iʼve already purchased?
It depends on the type of additional license youʼve purchased. MediaShout has two levels of additional licensing available: (1) sets of two additional licenses, and (2) a site license. If you have purchased a site license for any MediaShout for Windows product, your site license will entitle you to multiple installations of the Mac product after purchasing the MediaShout for Mac crossgrade. Sets of two additional licenses do not apply to MediaShout for Mac licensing.
Compatibility
Can I open a MediaShout for Windows presentation in MediaShout for Mac?
Not currently. To give our Windows and Mac products the greatest flexibility and most features, the presentation files are not cross-compatible.
What about my library of 5,846 song lyrics?
You can import/export the MediaShout Song Library Text file. We understand that one of the most time-consuming parts of ministry presentation is building your song library. In addition to the built-in SongSelect import, you can also import or export your song library to share between computers, regardless of operating system.
